Breathe. Move. Heal.

Hi. I’m Isabel. Woman, mother, teacher, seeker.

A facilitator for internal healing through breath, movement, trust and compassion.

A very warm Welcome

MY WORK

My work’s main inspiration draws upon breath and movement connection - the art of Vinyasa. My classes are inclusive and catered for students of all levels. I encourage my students to move with grace and awareness, so they can go deeper into their inner world. A focus on the mind-body connection to calm students’ minds and achieve a sense of greater balance and well-being. As seeker, I have always been passionate about Yogic Philosophy and the subtle body’s energies as well as tantra, meditation and Buddhism, so expect some tapping into these deeper aspects of the practice - always in a fun and lighthearted way.

About me

I have been a student on the path of Yoga since 1998, when I first came across Ashtanga Vinyasa.

I was living in my hometown, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and for many years this was my daily practice – it brought balance between working in the dynamic, fast-paced Music Industry and finding presence and grounding.

In 2005, I married and moved to London. My yoga study and practice continued alongside my Music-business work. Three years later, I finally listened to my inner-calling and undertook Yogacampus’s 200hr Yoga Teacher Training and graduated in 2010. Throughout these years I have trained in immersions with a variety of inspiring teachers including Rod Stryker, Richard Freeman, Mary Taylor and Tias Little.

My teaching style shifted into an Ashtanga-inspired Vinyasa practice, with focus on breath-movement connection, alignment, Yoga philosophy, Buddhism, chanting and pranayama.

I am deeply grateful to my teachers Zephyr Wildman and Phillipa Asher, who are both an inspiration in their approach to teaching. To Naomi Absalom and Ana Muriel, with whom I have immersed into a journey of mentoring, creative flow and self-enquiry. And, most recently to Norman Blair, who taught (and still teaches) me the wonders of Yin Yoga via his thoughtful, passionate and inclusive approach to teaching.

I live in South West London with my husband and 2 children, Benjamin and Flora. They continue to teach me the Yoga off the mat – a true source of compassion, selflessness, joy and loving kindness.

“I have been practicing with Isabel for years now and always come away feeling not only the physical benefits of the asanas, but a deep peace from her wisdom.

Isabel truly incorporates the concept of yoga and the unity between all of our energies. Her classes are strengthening and flowing. l love her!”

“I have been a yoga student for over a decade and have as such taken many classes. Isabel is by far one of my favourite teachers. I absolutely love her classes! They are always so well thought through: Great flow, great transitions, great playlists!

She knows how to build up the class to more advanced and challenging poses, but always offering modifications, so there is something for everyone. She is a very caring and knowledgeable teacher, including all about yoga’s Philosophy.

I always feel great after her classes. I am very thankful to have her as one of my teachers”.

- Sylvie
